Star Student of the Week:
*There will be no Star Student this week due to many activities going on*
Homework- homework this week will be on the letter Pp. Homework will be given out Monday-Thursday, there is no homework on Friday!
There will be NO HOMEWORK for our Week off!!
Our classroom is in need of magazines for various projects. If you have any old magazines at home that you would like to donate, please bring them in ASAP!
Phonics- We are working on the letter Pp.
Red Words: a, the, that, my, and, said, I, is,we, we, you, to, have Practice writing, spelling, and reading these words at home. Practice all your flashcards once a week.
*Any small books that go home in your child's folder make sure they put it in their treasure chest. Every book is a treasure.*
Make sure to read to your child every night! 15 minutes of reading each night makes a big difference!!!!
Math- The 100th day of school is Tuesday, we will be doing all sorts of activities with the number 100, and also will be introduced to the penny and nickel this week.
Make sure to practice your phone number, address, and birthday each night.
Science- We are discussing animals and how they move. This week we will make a collage with magazine pictures on animals that walk, swim, and fly and also learning about the life cycle of a bird and frog
Social Studies- we are discussing President's Day, Black History Month, and Dental Health Month....we have written about George Washington and Abraham Lincoln Wednesday we will taking a class trip to the post office to mail Valentine Letters to our families.
Please be sure to check your child's folder every night for any important papers.
