INDOOR RECESS

On inclement weather days, when they are unable to go outside during recess, children spend time in the gym, library or auditorium.

The PTO has purchased and collected many age-appropriate games such as Sorry, Trouble, Chess, Checkers, Connect Four, Scrabble and Candy Land to be used in the auditorium or library during this time.  We also supply the children with crayons, pencils, and paper for drawing and writing. We do these activities in the auditorium.

Parent volunteers can help with the preparation and clean up of materials. 

More importantly, they can help organize activities and simply have fun playing with students!

If you are unsure whether the children will be inside, you may call the main office at 11:00am.  Recess periods run from 11:15 until 1:20.  We request that volunteers arrive approximately 15 minutes early to help set up materials and stay approximately 10 minutes after the children have gone to assist with clean up.  Please sign in at the main office when you arrive at EVG.

This is a wonderful opportunity to see your children in school, meet their friends, and simply have fun and play!
